Swindon residents claim that scaffolding workers trespassed into their garden and removed the house without his permission.
Jordi Blaco, a resident of Rodbourne in the UK, claims that workers removed the structure on the house’s side without his permission before the solar panels installation was completed.
He says that the roof was damaged and a mess had been left behind.
Gloucester Scaffolding, based in Cheltenham, said that it was told by the client to remove all scaffolding.
Solar panel installation started in December last year but took several more months than anticipated.
Jordi was concerned about the safety and stability of the scaffold. He feared that it had loose parts, and quaked a great deal in the wind. So he told the installer the scaffolding could not be safe.
The Adver reported that he said: “I complained and asked the scaffolders for help. He told the Adver: “I kept complaining and wanted the scaffolders to fix it.
My wife was frightened when she came home because the intruders had entered the house unannounced through the rear gate when we were not home.
She asked them what they were up to, and they replied that they had removed the scaffold. They said it was wrong, but she said so.
We tried to reason, but they refused and were adamant they had not violated our property despite the fact that we hadn’t given them permission.
They only left when I called the police and threatened them with arrest for trespass.
They left behind rubbish and debris, cracked some roof tiles and created a leak which I had to fix myself.
We tried to file an official complaint via several channels including a letter signed for, but the company never responded positively.

We erected scaffolding as per their request.
